A Buckshot of Dutch Chocolate - AKA "Dutch" was the biggest puppy. He is now 1 year old and pushing 90 lbs.  He has been so easy to train and work!  He is big, long and lean. He loves playing with his best bud - a schipperke named Beau. He also learned how to climb up and go down the slide in the backyard!

"Jane" is doing very well - she was SO EASY TO TRAIN as her greatest joy in life is to hear "Good Girl, Jane!".  Our kids love her and she couldn't be better with them.  She is so gentle.  They could steal a steak out of her mouth and she wouldn't question it.  She even seems conscious that the baby is most fragile and is extra careful around her. She already is very good at Sit, Stay, and Come, Heel, Down, Fetch, Hold (object in her mouth), Release, Place (command to go to her blanket in the living room), Five (aka Shake), and Kennel. I just can't believe how smart she is.  Anyway, I just thought you might like to know that she's very loved and happy and part of the family here.  Thank you again!

Rudy is awesome!  He is 53 lbs. as of today (7 months old). Rudy mastered the potty the day he came home with us. He had one accident and since then he goes to the door and whines. He's very smart!  He has a great nose also. If there is a toy/ball/bone under a table/couch/bookshelf or anything he stands in front or over it until we pull it out for him. I told Frank he would be a great drug dog because he doesn't leave the area until we get it for him. He has also been retrieving balls (one of his favorite things). He's funny, there is no sense of urgency in the game, he just goes after it at his own pace and comes back, releases the ball and sits down and waits for the next throw. It's such a treat for us to have that personality. He's also learning how to greet people at the door. He's very good at it. We watch Cesar (Dog Whisperer) with him and he enjoys seeing the dogs on TV. Our cat has not figured out yet how to get Rudy to submit yet and I don't think Rudy understands what he wants either. They are great friends though.

We are so happy to have Rudy!  He is wonderful and we couldn't ask for a better lab. He is more laid back than our other labs and that is a great treat for us!  He has learned a lot and has lots to learn yet and we are looking forward to many years of enjoyment with him and the rest of our pack.

"Dually" is 6 months old this week.  He went hunting with me for the first time and got to bring his first bird back to me!  Wow!

"Baby" was the smallest pup of the litter - the one you said would likely be a handful...Well Baby is a handful! She loves to explore everything. And she is very intelligent. I have already taught her how to sit, lay down, speak, and out anything in her mouth. We are going to progress in more advanced training as I want her to be a great hunting dog. She is exactly 40 pounds right now. She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. She is great around kids and babies. I just couldn't be any happier with her.

Piper is doing great- she weighs 48 pounds (5 months old), so we are thinking she will be at least 70 pounds. I heard about 1/3 more after 6 months.  She is a great dog - very friendly, smart and energetic. She is active, but not overwhelming. We have done lots of traveling together - been to Colorado twice and she does really well "on the road". Overall she is a great dog and we are very happy. We regularly get comments about how beautiful she is as well!!
